iPod Shuffle HELP!!!!!!!! very important!?

my Ipod shuffle's the first generation and it's malfunctioning.if i switch it on, and press any buttons, the orange and green light blinks.and when i connect it to the computer, the orange light blinks non-stop ( yeah, the iPod doesnt appear on itunes' source list too.). Does that mean the shuffle's broken? what should i do? my PC doesnt recognize the ipod too.i retry but still nothing happens.It says in the manual that if the shuffle shows a green and orange light blinking continously, it means there's an error, and i should restart or load new songs to my ipod. how would i reload if the PC itself dosent recognize the ipod?tried looking for troubleshooting tips over the net, and the apple website, but nothing helped.

i think its better if u ask some one at the store where u bought it from they will tell u briefly what has happened to it by examining it . if its broken than u can exchange .
